Eat Up! meal plan magnets

This is a project I did as a student. My roommate was put on a specified meal plan which she had in a disorganized binder printed on basic letter paper that was tearing and getting stained from using them as she prepared her food. I set out to improve the way the meal plan would be used functionally as well as add an aesthetic value that would make it less of a chore and more like an enjoyable cooking experience. The Different breakfasts, lunches, and dinners she could choose from were printed onto magnets (which stored separately by meal in jars on the counter) to be conveniently displayed on the refrigerator. The pictures below showcase the actual magnets, how they would display on the refrigerator, and how they would store on the counter.

UAB juried student annual postcard

One of my professors had the class design possible mail-out postcards advertising the Juried Student Show at our University. It was used as an in-class exercise and we had 2.5 hours to complete the project. Below are two solutions I came up with for the front of the card and then the information/mailing side that would be used for both.

St. Rose Academy annual giving appeal brochure

This student project involved designing a brochure for a Private Catholic elementary-middle school here in Birmingham. The brochure was to be sent to encourage donations.

Hot Cross Buns logo

One project I was presented with in school was to create a business that included the word 'cross' and design a logo as well as develop a business system for it. The photos I have of the business system are not very good quality, but the photo of the logo came out well. [As you can see] My business was called 'Hot Cross Buns' and it was to be a street-corner bakery in New York City.

cookie cook book project

This is one of my favorite projects I did as a student. I picked my favorite cookie recipes and, using illustrations I made in ink and water color that I scanned in, compiled a small cook book of them. I hand bound the book (using sewing and glue) and made a hard cover for it as well. The cover type is in my handwriting.
