Whimsical Congrats Card

On my walk to work I noticed a box on the side of the road outside a pizza place that had an amazing graphic on it. Whatever food supply item it was, the brand was 'Lucky Buck' and I absolutely had to snap a picture to use in something. I masked out the logo in photoshop and edited it a bit in illustrator in order to create this whimsical card to congratulate someone on their good fortune.

Outskirts

There is a toe-tappin band coming out of Auburn, AL right now that are fantastic and worth a listen (or two, or three) called Outskirts. I am an acquaintance of one of the band members and on her birthday was inspired to create a bit of art for them. I did it on a whim and told her they could use it however they pleased so it could show up on merchandise. You can check out their facebook page here:

Promotional Items for Luisa Otero, Inspirational Speaker

I am lucky to have had the pleasure to get to know and work with Luisa Otero. She is an amazing woman and strives to make everyone around her the best version of themselves they can be. In particular she targets women and works with them to cease their harmful behavioral patterns and create the life they want through the implementation of good habits, practices and simply exercising having a positive outlook every day. Luisa asked me to design the cover for her upcoming book/workbook, instructional and inspirational CD, and promotional brochure. I designed a logo for her as well. She is a strong, colorful yet succinct speaker and a beautiful person in and out and I wanted her logo and promotional materials to reflect this. She and I both agree that the work speaks of her personality as well as the wonderful work she does - I'm so glad I got to create these materials and work with her and look forward to doing so in the future.

Wedding Card

Above is the outside and inside of a card I designed and printed for my good friend Carlos and his now wife Megan. It was a great wedding and I'm glad I made the card to add an extra personal touch to the gift I gave them.

Cards for Those Far Apart

My boyfriend and I are currently about 1,000 miles apart - he lives in Mississippi while I dwell in Harlem, NYC. Since we've been apart I've made a few cards to send his way - getting a letter or card in the mail always brightens up a day. These are a few of the cards about missing the one who matters the most/traveling/sending some love via mail (posted outside to inside.) I did all illustrations either by hand or with Adobe Illustrator except for the stamps, postcard, birds and map on the top one.

Southern Brunch!

Since I have been living in New York I have sincerely missed southern food (although the pizza indeed makes up for it!) I decided this spring to host a brunch at my apartment and designed this menu for the event. Yum!

Paris vs NYC

My friend Katie who lives in Paris sent me a link to this wonderful series of art prints comparing Paris and New York [ http://society6.com/parisvsnyc ] and it inspired me to make a 'Katie vs Meg.' It was super fun to create!
